On A380 Aircraft, an additional protection system is available on pax doors.

A Flight Lock Actuator (FLA) is installed in each passenger door to ensure that the door cannot be opened while the aircraft is in flight.

When the aircraft is in flight, the Local Door Controller (LDC) activates the FLA (LOCKED) at speed > 80 knots and until FL 260 preventing use/misuse of the door handle.
