The purpose of deactivation of the nose landing gear steering is to prevent damage to personnel and equipment. The chocks are installed to prevent the aircraft from moving while parked. 737NG AMM TASK 10-11-05-500-801, Paragraph 2.A. General will be revised to read as follows: (1) This task is for the installation of the wheel chocks,COM-1505, in winds/gusts up to a maximum of 40 mph (35 knots)(65 km/hr). (2) If you will not do engine operation, it is not necessary to install wheel chocks on the nose gear. (3) If you will install wheel chocks on the nose landing gear, the nose landing gear steering system must be deactivated (TASK 10-11-05-480-801). 也就是说,后续AMM手册将会有明确说明,只要我们要挡前轮挡,就需要安装前轮转弯旁通销。
